In about three weeks we’ll be going to Kuwait to visit Eryn’s grandparents, and to Nairobi to visit the great grandparents!

This will be my third time going to Kuwait, and will be blogging from there like I did last time. This time around though, it’ll be interesting to see what we’re going to do in regards to public nursing and changing. From what I remember.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby change table. And as for public washrooms…. well, some of them are stalls with holes in the ground. Have you seen them? You may find them in some European countries, and certainly throughout the Middle East. But the toilet bowl is literally a hole in the ground.

Why does that concern me? Well, when I am REALLY not comfortable nursing in public, I’ll grab a chair and head to the family, or accessible washroom and hang out with baby.  I don’t necessarily enjoy doing this, but you do what you gotta do. Er…. but in stall with a hole in the ground? Thank you, no.

Thank God each mall and fancy restaurant also has a prayer space. So we’ll see how it all goes. Too bad it’s 55 degrees Celsius, so there will be no lovely afternoon nursings in the park!! I checked out Have Baby Will Travel — but unfortunately, nothing on Kuwait.

Good thing that Eryn is a great traveler.
